Acme Tool Co.???

No, not Wiley E Coyotes favorite company, but I did pick up this inclinometer/level up over the weekend. It’s made by Acme Tool Co. Toledo Ohio. I’m thinking turn of the century. Anyone have any info on the company? I’ve done searches that have turned up everything from roadrunner cartoons to digital inclinometers, but nothing about Acme levels. Any help will be appreciated.

My Google search indicates that Roger Smith wrote an article on them in 1990 for the MWTCA journal. Perhaps you could contact him. He is quite an authority and a well published author.
