This started out as almost a 100 lb Beech Burl---she now weighs less than 6 lbs.
17 1/2 across and at the tallest point 6 inchs deep.
I reverse turned the base on a Vac chuck.

Wow Gary - that's quite the chunk of wood! Love the size and form! Bet it could hold a lot of chips! Nice work!

Great looking bowl Gary. Golly I bet there was a pile of curlies on the floor with that one.

is that an oval turning, or just warped? i love that wood, to bad you didnt have a bowl saver to use on that.

Curtis you are missing the sales pitch---the wood is developing a personality of it's own----add 20% to the price.

Whoa! Dude! That is nice! Now how did you get that up on your lathe to turn?
