Here are another dozen pens that H & R ordered and needed them today. So sorry for the pictures as I had to scramble to get these done before they closed after driving 36 miles one way to pick up the bandsaw. Anyway nothing spectacular just 12 slimlines in H & R colors plus a pink one for one of the gals and a K-State purple for the other gal. I think I just realized I don't like doing this type of production work.

good job but I know what you mean I have made and sold enough pens that when I sell some I think great now I need to make more. Bowls and HF are just so much more enjoyable.

Just think they helped pay for the new band saw. Its always fun to work for a new toy! Nice job Bernie.

Good for you Bernie. I've only sold about 15 or 16 pens, but they come in 1s and 2s. I can see how a batch of 10 or 20 would get old pretty fast.

But you are paying for the habit, so thats gotta feel good.

Bernie - congrats on your sale!!! That's a lot of work... bet the folks who got them just love them! Very nice!

Thanks and yes it did pay for my new bandsaw but still don't like the idea of standing there churning out pen, after pen for several hours. Like Bob said bowls, HF, lidded boxes, etc. are sure a lot more fun.

That's a nice sale of pens Bernie - Like said before helps pay the bills, at the moment I have not got the patience to turn out repetition pieces, but can spend hours carving detail on bowls, platters, etc, maybe I should try my hand at pen making sometime, they obliviously "turn into" very saleable items.

The last guy I sold a pen to asked for a dozen or so of my business cards, so maybe I'll get some more orders.

I haven't paid off a bandsaw, but I guess a chuck and a turning tool.
