hello everyone,
I worked on this last week and thought I should show you all what it looks like. this is a Majestic Rollerball Rhodium with 54 cut and shaped pieces of abalone shell. the shell was whole and the pen took half of it. It's finished with 4 thick layers of Ca. thanks for looking and I can't wait to read what you think.http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b88/laurie1953/DSC_00231.jpg

I don't post responses very often here but this is just AMAZING !!! That is one of the most spectacular pens I have ever seen. Could you possibly give some more details on the shell assembly ? Are the pieces glued to the tube or embedded in a resin ? I can't get over how fantastic this is. I saw it on another site but kind of glossed over it. I'm glad I got to see it again. Great photos too ! Thanks.

I love making this type pen no matter the vender, but the shell as others have said gives it an edge over anything I have made. Way to go. :D:D
