I ran into a discrepancy during assembly of my Rikon 10-325 Deluxe 14" Bandsaw that the helpful Tech Support staff at Rikon helped resolve.

Step 8 of the Stand Assembly instructions reads:

8. Mount bandsaw on the stand using four M6x40mm screws (17S), M6 washers (16S), and 6mm hex nuts (15S). Tighten stand bolts.

What was odd to me was that the stand bolts came pre-assembled with two large washers, a small washer, a regular hex nut, and a nylon nut. I couldn't find any other use for the extra washers and nylon nut, so I thought I'd double-check.

They said that Rikon actually prefers the "European method" for attaching the saw to the stand, and that's why the additional hardware was included. The "European method" has you insert the M6x40mm bolt from inside the stand, poking up out of the stand. Lock down the bolt with the nut. Set the saw on the four bolts and lock it down with the nylon nut.

So it goes from bottom to top:

BOLT - WASHER - STAND - WASHER - SMALLER WASHER - NUT - SAW - NYLON NUT.

Hope this makes sense.
