This is a spalted maple piece that to me looks like a garlic. Unusual form but I kinda like it. Measures 5x5 with a sealcoat and wax finish.

Heck of a job---I think you live just down the road from me. We are over by Campbellsville Ky.
I sure do like the stuff you turn.

It reminds me of some of the Gourds that I have seen hanging. In any case it is a very nice very artful piece and a pleasure to my old eyes. :):):)

Has a Southwestern flair in my opinion. Beautiful Mike. The black edge really defines the opening. Nice work!

Outstanding!! Love the wood - color and grain pattern! Form is great! I see the garlic/onion form you mentioned and it really grabs your attention! Great natural opening! I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Very, very nice. Is that a "simulated" natural edge? Whether it is or isn't, it sets the piece off distinctively.

Wow! That is an amazing piece. The form does look like a garlic head. Beautiul burning around the opening, too.

Another winner, Mike. It really looks "comfortable" sitting there and that particular delicate spalting pattern is just wonderful for the piece.
