This came from a log in my neighbor's firewood pile that had "aged" in the hot Mojave Desert sun for several years. It was really dry and had a few cracks to deal with. About 6 1/2" x 2 1/4" with Watco finish. Critiques welcome.........Ron

Ron you have given my favorite native wood a classic design, and a beautiful finish making this a bowl to be proud of.

Very nice bowl Ron! I can only imagine how dry that piece had to be when turning - must be light as a feather! Really good looking wood!

Ron,

Great work with that cherry. Don't you just love the smell when turning it? Nice form and finish.

I gave the first one I made of this wood to the neighbor that gave the wood. It looks very similar.......Ron
