Hi,

I need to stack a bunch of dry walnut and other woods short term in my shop.

the question is can I get away without using stickers for a month or so?

I don't have that many sticker at the moment and this stuff has been is storage for 10 years so it is very dry, also the ends have been sealed in wax.

Thanks for any help.

If it's dry, there is no need for stickers, although I sometimes use very thin ones (1/4" scrap) just to promote air flow for general good principle.

I have never used stickers on anything dried and have never had a problem.

Go to any lumber yard and look at their dry (supposedly, anyway, but we won't get into that) wood. It's all dead stacked (without stickers). If it's dry there is no moisture to be lost so no point in stickering. Also it saves space and keeping up with stickers.
