Hi,

The Hunt County Woodturners will again hold their annual Freedom Pen Turnathon at the Hunt County Fair in Greenville, Texas. It starts this Friday, June 6th, and runs for 9 days. We welcome any turners in the area to join us weekdays from 4-10 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon 'til 10 p.m. We hope to make several hundred pens.

We believe in the Freedom Pen Project and look forward to this TAT. It got up to 99 degrees today, so the weather is going to be normal for the Fair!

Y'all come join us! Results will be posted.

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the kind words. We want to report that we made a total of 501 Freedom Pens at our Hunt Co. Fair TAT. They are very nice pens, too. Our guys are improving their skills. We had some classes on making good finishes, and it helped. We will be packaging them tomorrow and hope to get them in the mail to you then.

I will include a list of pens turned by turner's name.

We enjoyed doing this and had several new turners stop by our booth to learn how to turn a pen. We hope our servicemen/women will enjoy them. It's only a small token of our appreciation of their service to our country.
