Hi a friend of mine an myself tuned up my grizzly 14 inch bandsaw with 6 inch riser. The one problem with it is. The guide tube that lowers and raises the guides must be askewed like this / So when its low the bearings run in the middle of the blade, when you raise it till about 10 inches there at back of the blade.
I was wondering if anyone here knows how to fix this. The only thing that comes to mind is to take off the riser and shim it in correct direction. I did take the tube off and check it for flat, it was. I bet its out of square by 1/4 inch.

Thanks

If the guides are consistent without the riser, you have found your problem. I would ask Grizzly for a good riser if it was recently purchased. If it is not a Grizzly riser (and maybe even if it is) adjustment (shims or grinding) can be necessary. If the guides are off (to a lessor degree possibly) without the riser, you may want to fix that first as it is amplified by the riser.
