Mercury Laser Door Interlock

Hi Gang;
Somewhere I read how to bypass the magnetic door interlocks on a Mercury laser so an oversize piece can be lasered- anyone with a better memory than me or instructions?

Don't have a mercury, but wouldn't you just put a magnet over the interlock part?

Yep- that's what I thought and tried- finally got it to work but you need to position the magnetic near the top. Thanks

On my explorer I simply removed the magnet and the switch and taped them together. I don't have any reason to have them working so I'll leave them as is.
