[Dan Oliphant]

The piece on the left only has lacquer as a finish (lacquer sanding searler followed by lacquer top coat). Brass was used as the filler material.
Piece on the right was dyed brown, although not visible, the knots were filled with turquoise (very suttle) top coat is again lacquer.
