Pixley Falls is obviously in Pixley :) In my memory serves me correctly it's the town next to Hooterville in Green Acres and going way back to when I was a little kid, it might even be where the family lived on Petticoat Junction (Uncle Joe and all the women).

Can anyone confirm that?

We then continued north and looked at another State Park (Whetstone Gulf, a little south of Lowville - they claim to have a gorge but don't let people on the trail after 3 pm - we got there at 4:45) but it wasn't as pretty. Pixley Falls now has no non-camping day use fee - it is free to go to as long as you leave at the end of the day.

Then on the way home we stopped at the Home Depot in Rome that is closing and I showed up again with the truck right before closing and am now 2 weeks ahead of schedule for materials for a project.
