If you got the latest edition of the AAW magazine there were some pretty nice looking lidded vessels on the cover. This is my attempt at making one. Walnut, 8"x 6", oiled and buffed. The pot and lid are both endgrain but the lid is from a different piece of wood and has the pith directly in the center of the knob.

Curt nice piece of wood for the bottom, for me the top does not match up as you say a diff piece of wood, maybe if you had staind it textured or something to make completly different maybe. Just my own though, the work is good just a personal taste, keep um coming..Geoff

By George Curt, I do like the form and wood on this winner. You just keep on producing such beauties, thanks for letting us see them.

Love it Curt. Very nice piece of wood and a super job on the turning. The basic design is a classic. Your lid adds nicely to the over all composition. Great piece!
