Anybody know where I can find bottle opener kits that aren't gold? I looked at my usual spots but all I found was gold. I can modify some store bought ones to work but I figured it would be easier with some with a round shaft.
Thanks
Edit: Good looking out Robert, I fixed it.

That is the same one I use. I really like it. I had my local machinest make me a 3/8" bolt with a washer welded on to hold the blank.

These Ruth Niles stoppers are good. http://www.torne-lignum.com/stoppers.html

The post reads "stoppers", but the title is "openers". I have never seen a gold bottle stopper, only "silver" colored ones, so I am guessing that he is looking for an actual bottle opener. Help us out Kevin!

I just got one of the gold one's, but I would love to find another color... preferably chrome....
Thanks for posting this. Let's hope someone knows something we haven't found yet.

Is this what your looking for? http://penblanks.ca/index.php?target=products&product_id=2602
I dont think you can modify the opener it just comes with the stopper as a set.

I suppose you could make this work by drilling a 3/32 hole through the handle?
These are nickel plated

He's looking for non-gold colored bottle openers....

Jess has the right idea. Those might work, I'd just cut off the shaft about halfway and glue it into place. I'm a little concerned about the durability of nickel plating though. The people I have in mind for the project will use them heavily.
