another box I made, walnut and maple

Here's a box for another friend back in OHIO.

turned out not too bad, but the handle? I could never get a handle on it !

The third picture is w/o the flash, so it looks more accurate as to the real color of the box.

The inlays on top were done with the Microjig and my new Festool 1010 router.

The corners were done with the table saw. I mitered the corners of the box, glued it, and when dry, cut a little "groove" in each corner, glued in a piece of walnut, when the glue dried, I sanded it down!

Really pretty easy to do, but looks impressive.

I hope that was the last buddy in OHIO <g>
