Just wondering if anyone had ever used the Tablesaw Jig from Schlabaugh & Sons. Any input will be appreciated.:)

That is interesting, but it seems like an awful lot of work.

I have made a number of sleds w/ t-slots routed into them using the Rockler router bit. Here are some links to SMC threads:

You can see from the first post that I have made two types, one with two slots parallel to the fence, and another with a radius slot (similar to the Dubby sled). I much prefer the Dubby type.

Phil, Thanks for the links to those threads. Carroll: Yes, I have seen those videos and they've actually piqued my interest in the jig. All of your replies are appreciated.

You see two videos about this jig/sled at this page:

Click on videos and scroll down until you see the ones you're looking for. John Nixon used that jig to cut the miters for a flag display case that was shown in a post here recently. You can also see that video at the above page.

Hi Thomas,

Here's my take on the kit they offer -

There's two different things they (S&Sons) sell:

1.) The hardware kit ($44.95):

2.) The laser engraved table ($24.95):

I like using the jig. My complaint about the kit from Schlabaugh and Sons is that I don't really care for their t-track or bolts. The bolts supplied with the kit are square headed, and they don't slide real well in the t-track. I much prefer aluminum t-track from Rockler (or similar). The laser engraved table is awesome and dead-on accurate. You should take a look at the plan and see if you can get the hardware elsewhere for less.

In my opinion, the laser engraved table is worth buying from Schlabaugh.

If you'd like any more information on the jig, let me know - I'm here to help.
