Incra or Jointech on a table saw without the fence???

I just bought a new cabinet saw (gloat to follow soon). But in doing so I lost my router table which was built in to the right extension on my old saw.

I would like to do the same with the new saw (space saver) but I really want a positioning system (Incra or Jointech).

My dilemma is my new saw has a UniFence which I haven't even used yet and I am not in a hurry to replace it. Is there a system that Incra or Jointech makes that doesn't replace my entire table saw fence? I looked at both companies websites and seems the answer is no:(

The incra router systems don't use rails so they wouldn't conflict with a table saw fence. You might want to remove the positioner base frequently though. That would only take a minute or so if you mounted it with T-nuts or tapped holes in the cast iron of the saw.

I'm not familiar with the jointech.

If I hear you right...Maybe install a t-track and use quick release cams to lock to positioner in place?

Certainly without doing something like this, the postioner would be in the way of my UniFence.

I'm not sure you did. A t-nut is a captive nut. You hammer it in from the back side. To remove the base, just unscrew 4 socket head cap screws. I wouldn't use t-track since there is no need to move the base around.

Why not just use a incra ts system and also use that for the router table, same fence, that way you have indexing on both.

I'm doing something like the previous post described. I have a PM 66 with a Beisemeyer fence and the extension table. I mounted my router in the extension table. Drilled holes in the extension table, added T-nuts underneath.

My Jointech fence is mounted on a board which I screw down using threaded knobs into the t-nuts. Not a big deal to lift off when I need to slide the main fence far to the right. Takes 20 seconds or less to take off or put back on.

Yes, the "captive nuts in the extension table trick" is the way to go to be able to easily install and remove the positioner setup from the saw so you can use the (wonderful) UniFence for saw work.

I have a Jointech fence I use as a add on to my table saw with router mounted on the end. I have mine set up so it slides into the T track/miter slot of the saw. I made T shaped nuts that fit the miter slot and tighen down with knobs. I can post pics later tonight

Okay here are the pics of the way I mount my Jointech fence on my table saw. The mounting board was set into the miter slot via the homemade T-nuts and the the fence was mounted onto the board squaring the fence to the saw fence so as to align both.:D

Why do you say the Incra is not good for sheet goods? i use mine all the time and used my jointech all the time also.
