hitachi m12vc 2 1/4

any thoughts on hitachi m12vc 2 1/4 router as a dedicated dovetail router.thanks any input appreciated.hitachi recon has them for about 65.00 dollars.thanks

thought it was a 3 1/4 hp. Ive had one for years as a table router and occasional use as a handheld. Its been great. Slow start is nice. Integral nut lock is nice.

I just picked up the recon at that price a couple of weeks ago. The router is a nice size for dovetails, but note that it only comes with the 1/4" collet even though it'll accept a 1/2" collet. Hitachi was kind enough to send me a 1/2" collet but otherwise expect to spend $15 for one....it so happens that the Bosch 1617 collet will fit.
