A project for an afternoon.

My wife recently wanted a small gift for a visiting friend. A pot pourri bowl was suggested, but something a little different please. Now who hasn't heard that simple phrase? I had just finished a 'pierced' project and the gear was still set up, so this little offering was born. It is made from a piece of northern silky oak 150mm diameter and 30mm thick. You people in America probably know it as lace wood. The whole project took 3 hours.
