A few posts back, Paul Cresti talked a bit about his new shop and his jumping into the fray of working on his own. I find myself dreaming a lot about doing the same thing. This brings up a few interesting questions. I, and I am sure many others, would really enjoy hearing how those of you who are self employed in the woordworking world made the decision to jump in. Also, what type of projects did you pursue at the beginning? Moving forward, how has your business grown? How have your skills improved? What lessons did you learn and how did they come about?

I could go on but you get my drift.

I agree that it would be really interesting (and, potentialy valuable) to hear about the experiences of those who have made it (and even about those who have not).
