I am a part-time woodworker and I am looking for some instruction on building furniture. I want to build a cabinet to hold linens and towels, maybe 18" wide and 36" tall with some drawers and two doors. I have a basic idea of what I want it to look like now I need a little help with the construction. I don't have the skills to make dovetails or the money to buy a dovetail jig, and I will mainly be using a router to do the work. So I need a good book that will really guide me through this.

Your answer in 2 parts:

A good all around book that will help with this project and many others. Very well put together with tons of plans, jig, techniques, cabinets, built-ins...
Complete Illustrated Guide to Furniture and Cabinet Construction (Taunton)

A great book for the router, how to use it, make jigs and much more...
Router Magic (Bill Hylton)...

These 2 books are hard to beat IMHO.
