View Full Version : Eng. Protractor into a sharpening jig

I have had an old die cast engineers protractor lying for sometime. So I though it might make a good sharpening jig given its accurate 360' markings

I removed all the bit and pieces not needed chopped the ends off and machined up a Aluminium block to take the mounting and the stand rod. The stand rod can be adjusted for various lengths.

Have yet to try it but it looks like it'l do the job OK

Excellent Neil, just the ticket , I need something like that for a grinding jig for the bits on my OT attachment, I be at the flea market looking for sure.. Great idea indeed.
