I am moving my lathe shop to a newly vacated area in my garage from the basement, and have a question regarding the DVR. Have any of you removed the headstock motor from the bed rail? Is it any more difficult than removing the lock pin, the bolt holding the center swivel pin, and the nut that holds the locking lever? Looks like it would lift up and cleanly off the rails. This would make it SO much easier to move up the basement stairs. And once removed, are there any special observations to make when reinstalling? Many thanks to anyone who might have experience with this.
