I want to share with you the latest:

Today I applied the finish, and it was EASY. It was especially easy compared to the huffing and puffing I did two days ago, when I flattened the top with hand planes.

If you have a little time, you can view the short video here (http://sandal-woodsblog.com/2008/05/21/episode-12-applying-the-finish-to-the-flat-workbench-top/) .

Thanks!

After watching the video of you flattening the top, I'd saywhat to do with the now flat benchtop is to lie on it until the EMT's arrive

Brian, Jerome, and Dewey,

Thanks! Thankfully, no EMT types were needed... :)

Brian,

I just knew there was something special about your reply - I went to school at U.C. Riverside, and graduated eons ago. I am now semi-retired, but loving working the wood.

Glad I remembered you ARE in Riverside!
