Hi Ed, Buy the Trion. I came close to giving up waitng for the Trion to be introduced into the USA and buying the PS2. I'm glad I waited. Without getting into a lot of specifics (dinner time), the Trion is great and worth the extra money.

I agree with John...the new Trion has more features. That's not saying the PS is bad; it's not and is an excellent tool. I have a review of the former on my site.

Ed, a month ago I started a thread that posed the same question. The title of that thread is "Festool Jig Saws -Is the Trion PS 300 EQ worth $150 more than the PS 2 E".

The conclusion that I reached was that the Trion was not worth the extra cost. I purchased the PS 2 and am happy that I did.
