This Flat Top #16 is a segmented box from Leopardwood. Contains 7 rings with 12 pieces per ring. Finial is Ebony. Measures 3-7/8" dia. x 7" tall. Walls at 1/8". Finished with Antique Oil and buffed. Comments/Critiques welcomed and thanks for looking.

Now that's cool! Yet another variation in your flat top series - and it works! I like the color combination, the textured grain pattern and the overall form - but your finial still steals the show! Beautiful work - as always! Thanks for posting!

That's are really nice box design that goes well with the leopard wood, I'm personally not usually keen on finials but that one complements the box so well I love the shape, excellent job well executed.

They covered it well. I was shocked and amazed to see another piece in the same class as your ebony hf. Am going to emulate (ok, copy) your finial.

Wow! That's beautiful, Ken. I've never cared for the look of leopardwood, but here it's stunning. I've got to re-think that.

I wouldn't like to see you change a thing, but it might be interesting to see a similar box with an ebony finial that is oval--rather than round--in cross-section (i.e., blade-like). Just a thought.

Again, a wonderful piece.

Each one of this Flat Top series gets better. Maybe not better, but more unique or creative. I'm amazed by how many completely different ideas you've come up with for one basic form. And they're all good! I can't wait until the series gets into the triple digits.

Very nicely done Ken.

I never post on segmented pieces, but I do like the look of this one. It doesn't look segmented.

NO disrespect to segment turners, I do understand all the work involved, but they just don't seem to be "my thing".

Keith, I must confess I'm not a fanatic of segmented turning, but I LOVE your box.
Superb shape! superb combination of wood!
In addition snake wood is not the easiest wood to be turned, does only dust and few shavings.
What a nice realization. Congratulation
