Our club is doing a copy of the thing that the AAW did last year with the rice bowl blanks. Our club VP turned some 30 or more identical rough blanks and anyone that wanted could take one. Then the club is going to have some kind of exhibition or something. Will be interesting to see what everyone does. I think the wood is poplar but not 100% sure. Measures 5-5/8" dia. x 3-3/4" tall. Not an original idea by any means but was fun to do.

Wow - that's different Keith! Seems a little lost without your finial!!

Nice work on all of the beads on the bowl! Interesting concept - this is one of those bowls I would like to hold just to see how it feels in the hand.

Very nice, the lines give it a 3d effect.

Groovy bowl! Sorry, could not resist the temptation. An attractive piece, if not in same class as your other work.

I like that a lot. I does look like it would fit in the hand well.
By the way, how thick are the sides, and how deep are the grooves between beads?

Tim, the walls are 1/4" thick overall with the beads being about .10 " deep.

Thanks
