Sharpen tools (http://www.blumtool.com/pages/sharpeningjig.html) "upside down" and dial the angle - interesting ideas - but do they work?
A plane (http://www.blumtool.com/pages/benchplanes.html) with a beefy frog with a small blade and micro adjustments to the frog to position the blade - interesting ideas - but do they work?

I have a couple of reviews - planes and sharpening boxes - that I am working on. I am hoping to complete these in about 4 weeks. I will post a link here once done.

Hi Doug, they're working for me. I am very much a beginner and purchased the fixed angle jig and the Jack Plane as my first and only bench plane. I do plan to buy the Jointer as well (I will probably get the bigger box some day too). Here's a thread in which I discussed it:

I'm looking forward to reading Derek's review since I have nothing to compare against, so may not know what I'm missing.
