Well after all the problems we had with WMH and Roadrunner (trucking company) my new lathe arrived. I would like to give a shout out to Sean at Toolnut for his great price ( he beat Osolnik Machinery by $60), but most of all for the great service after the sale ( a big surprise ). Sean you and Toolnut will be very successful with your business plan of great price and great service. Sean sent me 5 e-mails and made 2 phone calls just to make sure I was happy. I have to say stepping up to the 3520b lathe was the most fun I've had in a long time. Last night I whipped out a 12" bowl of mesquite, done some tops, yo-yo, and handles also. Sorry don't have any pictures of the stuff I made the camera went south after I got 5 shots of the new lathe. Thanks to all for the support and insperation you provide. Seeing all the great project just makes me want to turn more and get better. Who says you can't teach an old dog new trick? At 50 I'm learning I love the Vortex. Great hobby. Thanks to all, most of all Thanks to Sean and Toolnut, can't wait to you get your online shop up! Thanks Bruce
Picture can be seen on Toolnut's Thread (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=84458).

Congrats and glad things got straightened out.

ToolNut was very EASY to work with.

I think 5-6 3520B's have so far been sold as a direct result of posts I made in a few forums about my 3520B purchase.

Glad to know they are still working hard for our business.

Thanks Scott had a ball turning today, my Granddaughter and her husband showed up today from Utah. He makes custom whip's (cowboy thing) and we made three handles. You would not believe what a 14' whip sounds like. It really sounded like a gun shot, it was that loud. Thanks you for your posts on the 3520b, I of course waited until two days after the sale and just in time for the price increase to buy mine (no one ever said I was smart). But it is the best money I've spent in a long time, might have to invest in another battery for my Trend pro helmet. I'm sure I read your post and Jeff's post two or three times while making up my mind. Thanks Bruce

Gary I agree, Sean sure surprised me. Most internet sales are good price and that's it. Not Sean he went out of his way to make sure I was happy. Thanks Bruce

Sure wish they would send me my $100.00 rebate -- purchased in Jan. rebate claim sent in Feb. No rebate check in May... Tried to check on the status of the rebate but could not find where to do so...

Guess I have lost the money. I have had too much trouble with WMH tool group.

Don't give up it's your money. I agree WMH could learn a lot from Sean on how a customer should be treated.

Congratulations Bruce. At 50 you start turning, at 5o I started riding motorcycles. Isn't this a great life? Mitch

Ya Mitchell I did the bike thing when I was young, really had a lot of fun. I was 19 or 20 and body guarding several rock bands. Between tours had a lot of time and money for a 20 year old to see the USA on the back of a dressed Yamaha. Loved every minute. Saw about 1/2 the USA that year on my bike, even had pictures posted in "In The Wind" a biker mag.
Hope you have lots of fun, it amazed me all the nice people you meet on a bike. What are you riding? Had a customer show up on a big yellow Honda the other day, very nice, brought back great memories.

It's pretty simple Paul.
You go to Powermatics web site and LOG IN.

I just did so.
"Your Rebate Summary Please print this page.
IMPORTANT:
Attach required ORIGINAL sales receipts before mailing to the address below.
We recommend printing a copy of this page to keep with your records.
Please allow 8-10 weeks for processing once WMH receives this form."

My Status is showing "Pending"

Then there is a UPC code
Your Customer Info
Mailing/Shipping info.

Sorry no offence intended, but you seem to have hit a bunch of forums to complain about your 3520B in every aspect from start to finish and now even with the Rebate .
They are NOT in business to rip you off , IF you completed the rebate form as you are supposed too, Including the ORIGINAL Reciept and Printed the page with a UPC Code on it as directed while you filled out your rebate form at the Powermatic website , you will/Should have Proof and be able to pick up the phone and call to find out were it is and when to expect it.

I was just now easily able to Log In and retrieve all info on my rebate including being able to Reprint my Rebate Summary that Includes the UPC code.

Your doing something Wrong or you just have Incredibly the worst luck of anyone.

If for some reason you can't log in at their web site Call them and give them the info from the page you were suppose to print.
Good luck.

Here's a pic of my 2nd or 3rd bowl I've done sorry my camera is dead...Toolnut Post (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=854050#post854050) I had a lot of fun doing this one, kinda like working on a moving airplane prop. Cut it off a mesquite tree in the back yard. Did a 16" 4 corner mesquite bowl this morning on the new lathe, what power, and I just love the sliding head, makes it so easy to do a bowl at the end (nothing in the way). Having a ball with the new toy. Thanks for looking Bruce

Thanks Scott that was my first winged bowl, and only my 3 or 4th bowl. I am improving each new bowl, have done 2 more mesquite and a thin Palo Verde (had one tool mark on outside, going to try the old 60 grit gouge to straighten that one out, I got a little too thin in that spot. Can almost see through it. It's all fun, now I need to buy a new camera, the old one went south taking pic's of the new PM.

Funny, after getting my Jet 1442 my very first bowl was a winged bowl.
I like to do things the hard way first. lol And of course I like turning things as Thin as possible. Not the best way to start out as a NEWB.

I did have both of Bill Grumbines DVD's to guide me though.;)

Very nice, thanks for the pic's. Love Bill's video I wish someone would have pointed it out earlier. Randy told me about it when I called him about the monster hollowing system (next month investment). Want to try hollow forms and seg's soon, after I build a steady rest to finish that mesquite vase I started last night.
