Hollow form/ wood question

what is the easiest wood to do a first hollow form from?

Just about anything that isn't overly knarly is a good choice for your initial hollowform fun. I happen to like fresh, straight-grained ash for these things. Oh, and end-grain is my preference for orientation for hollow forms...you don't have the flip-flopping grain issues that come with faceplate orientation.

End-grain mahogany, cherry or maple are nice woods to start. Easy wood to work with.

i have acces to a lot of woods, but if there is one wood that works really easy even if it doesnt look good, i could probably get it from somewhere
