I'm building a solid 3/4" mahogany table top and was wondering if I should be concerned with the wood expansion when securing the tops to these extenders.
From what I've read mahogany appears to be a pretty stable wood type.
Uh...:o..this only crossed my mind AFTER I've already installed the top.
TIA

I think the expansion and contraction may slightly limit the range of the open/close mechanism but other than that (which should be negligible) you should be fine. Since you have already installed it, (and if you are going to keep this at your house rather than sell it or give it away), I would give it a season, check it periodically, and see how it reacts.

I recently finished an 6/4 thick walnut table with leaves. I ordered the metal version of the slides, and the screw holes were elongated, to help mitigate any wood movement problems. If you encounter problems in the future, you may need to take the slides off and elongate to holes a little to compensate for wood movement. Here's hoping you'll have no problems.
