What is the speed difference when engraving glass with a 25 Watt vs a 35 Watt Epilog Laser?

Zac it's very little, just speed mainly. The higher power might be able to do it a little quicker, but not that much different.

Lets put it this way, would it be noticeably faster to do 100 wine bottles with a 35 Watt laser or a 25 Watt laser?

Like I dont mind if its only like 5 second slower, but it would really get to me if it was like 20 seconds slower (per bottle)

I've got a 10W laser and I do wine bottles @ 100% speed (mostly: there's a browny-green colour that I have to do @ 80% because the glass is harder). I think it'll be down to how fast an individual laser machine can wave the head about.

Sounds good, anybody that can confirm this?

Just a random question, is there a brand of laser that is faster than others, in terms of "waving their head about"? Not interested in buying the fastest, just curious...

It's complicated. Every manufacturer uses different units, seemingly, and just a straight 'top speed' doesn't tell you the whole story. The way a machine ramps (changes direction) makes a great difference to the final job time, and there's different systems for doing that too.
The power of the laser makes a difference...the more power, the more stuff you can burn at 100% speed...but sometimes there's things you want to burn at a slower speed because burning at high speed can give you an oval hole instead of round.

The only real way of telling, I think, would be to take an identical file round machines with the same power laser; using the same medium to burn on; and getting the stopwatch out

If I remember correctly, I do a wine flute with the bride and grooms names and a rose graphic in 1 min 15 seconds S=25 P=100

I did 100 wine bottles for a Holiday party last Dec. I have a Vytek 35W CO2 laser. Estimate time at P 100 S 14 was 1 - 1 1/2 minutes per.
