No message from my artistic muse for nearly a week. Bummer. Nothing for it but to debark and clean up some nice mesquite "blanks" while awaiting inspiration. This is some mesquite generously shared with me by Robert McGowen. There is another larger piece in the garage. Thanks again Robert.

Thanks Ken. Yeah, I though so. I kinda been there too (long hair, long beard, and motorcycles) about a hundred years ago. Learned that Robert also builds nest boxes for tropical birds. He's a whole industry in his spare time. Sorry, lost the website.

I had the delightful opportunity to meet Robert and his lovely wife at a cookout at my youngest son's home south of Houston this past June. Robert wasn't retired then and he told a couple of entertaining professional stories.
