What would you suggest finishing White Oak that will be exposed to salt water in a marina?

Paint if it must have finish, none otherwise.

We just finished some white oak fencing with Cetol Marine. Its a new-ish formulation so there aren't many reviews out there, but Sikkens is a pretty great company.

Robert, is this the same bumpers you asked about in your other thread?
Ask your customer, but I would venture to say they'll tell you they don't want them finished to began with. Bumpers are wear items, you'll never keep up with the refinishing needs, and even if you could, they take a beating. Any finish you put on will get rubbed, gouged and broken off in the end. A marine environment is a brutal place, nothing looks good for very long without a LOT of effort and work. Just for a point of reference, the average bright work on a boat needs to be redone every 6-12 months to keep it looking good.

Mike is right, in that use no finish makes sense.

By the way, Cetol marine has been around for quite a few years.
