Hi Everyone,

I want to buy a thicknesser, and quite like the Triton 15". I am cautious, as I don't know this brand's power tools (usually buy Makita or Metabo).

Has anyone had any bad experiences with it? I've searched the forums, but only the Triton router seems to be discussed. My first experience of Triton product was their router table - which was hopeless. From one or two articles I can find on the web about the thicknesser, it looks good, but one can never be sure.

I'd think about the Makita thicknesser, but the 12" seems just a bit small. Since these machines are so expensive, I really want to find some good advice first.

Best regards,

Kevin

Kevin, this is the first time I've even been made aware that Triton has a thicknesser. ("planer" here in the US) If you are not in North America, the Triton line may be different. The routers have been available for a number of years as have some other neat fixtures under that name. But I have not seen any other power tools...yet.

BTW, welcome to SMC!
