There's a good review of 10" sliders in the June 08 issue of Woodworker's Journal, written by Sandor Nagyszalanczy. Festool's Kapex blows away the competition, but at 3x the price, that could be expected. Makita was awared the "Best Bet" for its LS1013FL.
The Kapex will be available July 1, for the tidy sum of $1300. More here: http://kapex.festoolusa.com/ . One of many features attractive to me is that it can be mounted on a bench against a wall.
