After taking a woodturning class and practicing spindle work on scraps, I decided to try pens for my first project. I bought a starter kit from Rockler, which included everything I needed. I made my share of mistakes, as you'll probably see in the pics, but overall it was fun.
Thanks to everyone who helped out with advice on getting started.

John, they all look good from here, no mistakes that I see.:D You even kept them thin and that is kind of scary to do when you first start. Good Job.!

John...I'm with Scott! Keeping them thin on your first solo attempt is gutsy and well done in your case! Keep at it! Feed the addiction.

They look good to me! I'll agree keeping them thin and straight is the tricky part.
