Help. You fellows have proven in the past some know as much about computers as others woodcraft.
We were forced to buy new computer and opted for good or evil Windows vista.
It has an email program called windows mail similar to Outlook express.
Now the problem. In the past wife could open up email and they came up with various incoming mail. she could highlight suspicious ones and delete. Can we do this somehow in the new program? Now it opens up the email when you first click on it. No ability to delete it. Thanks. harry

On the VIEW menu is an option named "Layout...". Click this option and open a dialog named "Window Layout Properties". In the bottom half of this dialog is a check box labelled "Show Preview Pane". Clear this check box.

That will remove the message viewer from the bottom of your screen. You will have to double-click a message to open a reading window.

You can delete your messages using the DELETE key, or RIGHT-CLICK/DELETE.

Thank you Ron. Worked great. Greatly appreciated. Maybe this new puter will grow on us. Harry
