Another simple bowl, zebrawood, 6" diameter by 2". My first try at putting a band around the outside, and I kinda like it.

Nice but I thought it would be a bowl for holding Zebras.

It's a great bowl. But Jeremy's right, that'll never hold a zebra.

I like the bowl, Paul, but not sure about the band. It strikes me that the band is too delicate for the shape and heavy wood figure. I would be interested in knowing how zebrawood turns, and what finish you used.

Zebrawood's open end grain does pose a couple of problems, but all in all, it's a nice, solid turning wood. You done this one good! Cool form, the band may be a little small, and a good finish.

Paul...Nicely done! I like to put a groove in the ouside on same bland wood bowls and then friction/burn them with a piece of guitar string tied between two wooden handles. I like to use an odd number of lines...1, 3, etc.

I like this bowl Paul! Nicely done!

I redid the groove, 1/8" by 1/8" square cut channel, looks better.
