Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a Spindle Rest for the Jet mini lathe {1014}.

Thanks,
Phil

Sorry, I don't get to this site every day or I would have replied sooner. I made one of the 3 wheel types out of some plywood and scraps. Got the wheels from some Rollerblade type skates in the thrift shop. Found a plan in a book or magazine article, but they are available on several websites also. Pretty common design. I threw it together in a couple hours, used it once, and never since. Still have it though, ya never know. There are other designs that are adaptable to the Jet mini. Remember Google is your friend.

Philip I found some plans with google. Like Don I made it out of scrap plywood. Bought some rollerblades at Target on sale for $9.98 which gave me 8 wheels. I made a large one for my Nova DVR and a smaller one for the Rikon. They work great for spindles and I use it all the time when doing hollow forms. Here are a couple.

I made mine with T-Track and rollerblade wheels. A four-wheeler.
Email me, and I'll send you a .pdf file that explains how I made mine.
