need advice on spray finish

What would be the best finish to spray on kitchen cabinets I am building.I bought a HVLP spray system ( turbine type ), but have never sprayed finish before. The cabinets are cherry, and I am leaning towards water based poly. Any advice would be much appreciated.

YIKES!

There are options from one end to the other.

For ease of application with the best durability I find it hard to beat the Target USL. There are other more durable options and likely easier to spray options but USL is a good compromise for most things.

It is on most of the work I do. I believe (no quotes) that it was certified by the kitchen manufacturing people for a kitchen finish.

Water based acrylics are great just because you don't have to worry about making your shop a smoking hole from the fumes.
