View Full Version : Maple Bowl with some Birdseye

Another simple form but with a line of birdseye that runs completely through the bowl. This is one of those pieces that changes with the light – so I included multiple shots with different lighting angles.
Maple bowl, 10 ¼” diameter x 4 5/8” high x ½” thick, sanded to 400 grit, multiple coats of Minwax Gloss Wipe-On Poly.

Steve that bowl is beautiful. Simple form and finish is great. I really like this bowl for some reason.

Real nice, Steve. But what else should one expect to see when clicking on one of your threads. Great bowl, I love how the rim slopes gently outwards.

Steve not bad for an amature:D Okay ill load the gun;) its a really nice piece it is a nice simple elegant form, its one of those pieces that come expensive, gorgous bit of wood, you can put it on my side unit anytime..Geoff

Very nice bowl...
If any one of you know anything about Danish/Scandinavian design you know why I like the bowl. Simple form and just beauatiful... and a very nice piece of wood.
