Can anyone suggest a source for plane parts? I've got an old Stanley #220 block plane with a broken lever cap and need to locate a replacement. I've been coming up empty at flea markets.

Thanks in advance

I see parts for Stanley planes listed all the time on eBay.

You may also want to try this site:

Bob Kaune has an interesting site even if you do not need a part at the time.

Chuck is a great guy to buy parts from as Johnny stated. I just ordered some from him. But you can buy the parts for a 220 from "Stanley Hand Tools" also. The cap is only about $4.00 plus shipping.

Since the question was asked, what about getting a plane iron for a Freud #7 ? I picked it up in a CL workshop buy, but none of the tools had blades.

Would irons for other #7s fit as well?
