I posted a story about my broken TS switch.

http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=845108#post845108

Well I called Grizzly this morning and they do not carry parts for the Taian magnetic switches. I really don't want to shell out $80.00 for a new switch when only one minor part is broken. I just don't have a lot of confidence that the repair I made is going to hold up long term.

So I'm wondering if anyone here may have an old, broken switch that they would like to recycle. ;) All I really need is the red off button, but I would take whatever is offered if you don't want to disassemble. I figured it was worth asking before shelling out for an entire new switch.

If anyone has an idea of where I may be able to get this part, please let me know.

TIA

You can buy a new paddle switch, switchbox, and mounting plate for the Grizzly G0444Z tablesaw (parts 42, 44,45) for $35 + $7.50 + $5.75:

Buying all the pieces ensures that you won't end up with something that won't fit in your saw's stock switchbox. Plus, you end up with a really nice paddle switch that you can turn off with your knee (probably nicer then what you had before).

ALternatively, you could just buy their paddle switch for $12.95 and hope you can shoehorn it into your switchbox (this is a really nice switch, not sure how it is different then the one above for $35 other then the tabesaw version above probably has a metal plate that screws into the switchbox):

I just bought the switchbox and all the parts from the parts page for the G0604ZX jointer to use as a switchbox for my tablesaw mounted router. The paddle switch is very nice (and cheaper then the TS version above).

EDIT: whoops, I see that you mentioned magnetic switch and that you have the 1023 cabinet saw. Guess the above isn't really a drop in replacement. Note that grizzly sells the complete 2HP mag switch for $54 and the 3HP 220V mag switch for $70. I still would be inclined to go for the paddle switch, not being convinced of the advantages of magnetic switches (yes, they stay off when power goes away, but if you kick them or hit them with a piece of wood by accident, they can latch and start the saw). Grizzly does make magnetic switch paddle switches, since some of the more expensive saws with paddle switches say they have magnetic switches.

A big thank you to Chris Padilla for his help with this.

At Chris' urging I contacted Grizzly again and Cliff from tech support was able to find the part I needed. Couldn't get just the broken button, had to order the entire cover. But, $16.00 is better than $80.00.
