Hey Chris, don't look to me like you need much more practice with those splines! Looks great. If I could figure out how to make as nice of pieces out of my good stock as you do with your scrap, I'd be set!

Ted, Thanks for the look. No, the splines are all the same. They are from a small piece of scrap Redheart left over from some gun handles I made for my son. Have a great night.

Chris,
Really nice work on the box, and a nice choice of wood too! A question, does the top hindge or is it designed to be lifted off?

That's a very attractive box, Chris. The splines do the job and add interest without taking away from the ambrosia maple. Nice Job!

Mark, Thanks for the comments. The top just lifts off, no hinges on this one. Have a great day.

Chris,
Great job on this box! I really like the contrast between the ambrosia maple and the redheart.
I've got a pile of ambrosia maple scraps that are all 4"wide x 10" long x 1" thick. They are the left overs from making peppermills at Christmas time. I should really use them to make a couple of boxes like you have.
See ya around,

Chris, I really like the overall look. It just screams class. I have some mahogany flooring scraps that would make a nice box. Thanks for the nudge.
