Chris, that's a very nice platter. And yes, the repetitive nature of the current pen-turning activities many folks are doing can make for a need to "get out" for a bit...Great job!

Very Nice Chris:

I am fairly new to turning and was wondering, to turn a plate, did you use a wood block on the face plate and double sided tape or do you use a vacuume chuck or does one get those Jumbo Jaw holders?

Nice job!
This is one of the really nice things about turning, being able to change what you are doing completely without having to add equipment or making large machine setups. It's nice to be able to chuck up a different shaped piece of wood and make something different.

actually with this on i just turned everything and the sanded and finished and tghen parted it off orked great

used the super nova chuck so no reverse turning
