All, I'm looking to upgrade my current saw to a cabinet saw and am hoping to get a better idea of how much I might sell my current saw for.
It's a 2 1/2 year old General International 5-220 CL M1
It has the General T-fence with 50" rails.
Today the saw sells new for about $1100 (thanks to the WEAK dollar).
Some added details.
It's still in great condition.
I've added an extension table between the rails with a cutout for a router plate (I'll include the router plate if needed).
I've also built an out-feed table the entire width of the saw and rails that I'll also include with the saw.
The table folds down so that the entire saw can be rolled against a wall when not in use. I commonly store the saw this way.
I'll also include a crosscut sled and a "sacrificial" fence that fits over the stock fence and the mobile base.
Here are some pictures (hopefully not breaking any rules) to give a better idea of what I'm talking about.
Front right of the saw before raising the table: http://home.earthlink.net/~jscord/images/frontRight.jpg (http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ejscord/images/frontRight.jpg)
Back right before raising the table: http://home.earthlink.net/~jscord/images/backRightClosed.jpg (http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ejscord/images/backRightClosed.jpg)
Now with the table raised: http://home.earthlink.net/~jscord/images/backRight.jpg (http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ejscord/images/backRight.jpg)
Finally, from the front: http://home.earthlink.net/~jscord/images/frontLeft.jpg (http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ejscord/images/frontLeft.jpg)
The bar in the front left is a shut-off bar that I can kick to turn the saw off
Thanks for any help.
Jeff
