Miter station height

Good morning,

I'm wondering how high everyone has built their miter saw bench? It seems to me that 20 years ago when I did this for a living, before the invention of the SCMS the bench of the RAS was probally 40 to 48 inches high. Also how long are your miter benches?

Hi Lewis, I just finished my miter station last weekend. I'm 6'2" and build all my benches/tables at 37" high. That's the height I placed my saw station as well. I decided to add a bunch of storage underneath the saw and made the left table 8' and the right 6' (I'm a righty). One of my biggest problems with my old setup was trimming really long pieces. I also added the Kreg fence and stop system which has been working great.
