Ok, I have an extra pc or two around here. and Lets not worry about the software (yet).

Are older less powerful units available? Whats the used market like for these things.

I geuss what I am asking is If someone wanted to play with one of these how cheap can you find a laser engraver. I dont think grizzly sells these yet, Hmm maybe harbor freight :D

Some of the laser manufacturers have trade-in programs and they refurbish the machies and sell them, check their web sites for information.

You can also find lasers on Ebay for auction.

Here's Fishy, laser cut from poplar with 600 holes since we're taking about having fun :)

Scroll Saw stuff is childs play for a laser, wait till we start showing you some of the really good stuff :)

We could do this all day Terry. We can also engrave and cut in the same project.
